She and her late husband, Kenneth, were Youth Pastors at the Sale Creek Church of God for approximately 17 years. They both had an overwhelming desire to serve the Lord whether it was ministry to children, youth or adults.
She and Kenneth have 4 sons. She is a proud grandmother of 11 grandchildren (to date) and 2 great-grandchildren.
She and Her late husband, Kenneth, pioneered and pastored Watts Bar Church of God which which was organized March 30, 1983. Connie, an Ordained Minister in the Church of God, was Lead Pastor of Watts Bar Church of God after Kenneth went Home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2008. She remained Lead Pastor of Watts Bar Church until June 10, 2012 when she was deemed Pastor Emeritus by Bishop Donald Walker. On that date, her son, Kelly, became the Lead Pastor.
Pastor Connie, in addition to being Coordinator for “Chosen Ladies Conference”, serves as Pastoral Care Pastor of Watts Bar Church.
Pastor Connie, still having a tremendous desire to minister, ministers in her home church as well as other churches. Any where the Lord opens a “Door of Ministry,” Pastor Connie gladly walks through it.
“Chosen Ladies Conference” was born in Pastor Connie Goins’ heart many years ago, but only came into fruition in November, 2002.
She wanted to offer a conference with an anointed Band and Praise Team, Powerful and Passionate Preaching and Ministry Time in the Altar area She wanted to host a Conference that was affordable enough that any woman desiring to come would be able to. She wanted to bless Pastor’s Wives or Group Leaders by making their conference fee FREE for them.
Her heart’s desire is to see women come and receive of the Lord – to see precious “Chosen Ladies” come and be so filled they can go back to their “Home Church” and pour out on others abundantly.
This is the 16th. Year of the “Chosen Ladies Conference.” It has grown from several hundred women to well over 1000 in attendance. She is daily praying that those who come to “Chosen Ladies” will be ministered to in a very special way – that they will know they are special to GOD and special to those who work diligently to make this conference a success. Pastor Connie’s fervent prayer is for the Lord to saturate every lady who comes with His Mighty Power and Fresh Anointing!! Pastor Connie wants each lady to know that she is truly a “Chosen Lady!”
